  • Pressure cook the chakkakuru by adding turmeric powder, chilly powder, required salt and water.
  • Mean while grind the grated coconut, green chilly and garlic into a coarse paste.
  • Clean, wash and drain the muringayila.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add muringayila and saute for 1 minute.
  • Then add cooked chakkakuru and mix well.
  • Then add coconut mixture and combine well.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes and turn off the flame.
  • Serve along with steamed rice.
