- Channa dal - 100 g
- Papaya - 1 small
- Green chilly - 1
- Turmeric powder - 3/4 tsp
- Salt(to taste) -
- Water - 2 cup
- For seasoning: -
- Mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Dry red chilly - 3
- Shallots(chopped) - 4

- Whash the channa dal
- Cut the papaya into small pieces.
- Take a pressure cooker add channa dal,pappaya,turmeric powder,green chilly and salt
- Add water and close the lid.wait for 5 whistles to come.
- For seasoning heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard in it.add shallots,dry red chilly, saute for few seconds and turn off the flame
- Mix it with the curry
- Channa Dal papaya curry is ready to serve.it goes well with steamed rice.
