Ingredients

Cherupayar
Green gram

nos
Potato

Onion
chopped finely

Ginger
chopped finely

Green chillies
chopped finely
Curry leaves
A few
Salt
As reqd
1/4
tsp
Pepper powder
1
no
Egg
beaten

-
Bread slices
optional

cup
Bread crumbs
oil
for frying
Instructions
Boil the potatoes and cherupayar separately.
Saute onions in a pan.
Add
ginger
,
green chillies
,
curry leaves
and cooked cherupayar-
potato
.
Mash and mix well.
Add
salt
.
Sprinkle
pepper powder
if required.
Add and mash the bread if there is more
water
in the mix.
:- Adding bread gives a good taste also.
Flatten the mix into desired shapes.
Dip the mix in beaten
egg
, roll in
bread crumbs
and deep fry in
oil
.
:- Serve hot with
tomato
ketchup.
