This dish is named as Beef Dry Fry in Cochin area, in palakkad this is named as Chilly Beef. This is famous in Old Noorjahan restaurant in palakkad and also in fort palace. BDF is a very nice snack, especially for parties. Beef is cooked first as big pieces and cut thin slices and marinated with spices and corn flour and deep fried. Beef Dry Fry should not be that spicy. It should be just medium spicy. The recipe has more chilly for spiceness since it is deep fried. The crushed chilly and the corn flour coating gives a special taste for the beef dry fry.

- To Pressure Cook -
- Beef Big Piece - 200 grams
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Salt -
- For marination: -
- Tumeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Crushed chilly - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Corn flour - 4 tsp
- garlic - 1 tsp
- Ginger - 1 tsp
- Beef stock(to use instead of water) -
- Salt -
- For frying -
- Coconut Oil and Vegetable Oil mix. -

Instructions
- Cut the cooked beef into thin slices.
- Add Tumeric Powder, Pepper Powder, Crushed Chilly, Garam Masala,Chilly Powder,Soya Sauce,Vinegar, Salt, Kashmiri Chilly Powder, Ginger, Garlic and mix beef pieces well with beef stock. Add corn flour little by little and mix it, keep adding beef stock if necessary.
- When hot enough add small batches of beef and fry it, in few minutes, it will be crispy. If it is small batches, oil wont absorbed much into the beef. When it is almost done add curry leaves.
