Colacasia Roast Colacasia Roast 250 gm Colacasia (Chembu)Oil for frying 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds1/4 tsp Black gramFor masala:-1 tsp Coriander seeds3 – Dry red chillies1/2 tsp Black gram (Uzhunnuparippu)1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds (Uluva)1 tsp Grated coconutAsafoetida powder (A pinch, Kayam)Salt (As reqd) Pressure cook the vegetable such that it is not too soft, peel it and keep aside. Fry/roast the ingredients for masala in little oil(like for sambhar).Dry grind the mixture into a fine powder. Heat a little oil in a pan or a kadai.Splutter mustard seeds and black gram.Add the vegetable followed by dry ground masala and saute until the curry is done.:- Oil may be added intermittently, if necessary.:- Serve with sambhar rice & dahi rice.
