Dal Gravy Dal gravy - Maharashtrian style 100 gm Red gram (Thuvaraparippu)4 - Garlic cloves2 - Green chillies1 tsp Mustard seeds1 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1 pinch Turmeric powder1/4 cup Coriander leaves2 cups WaterSalt (As reqd)1 tsp Oil Pressure cook the dal till it is soft. Mash and keep aside.Heat oil in a cooking bowl.Splutter mustard seeds and jeera. Add garlic and chillies and saute till garlic changes color.Add turmeric powder and saute.Add dal followed by water and salt.:- Adjust water such that the dal looks watery. It should not have a thick appearance.Allow the mixture to boil for a few minutes or till you get the aroma of garlic.Shut off the flame and add plenty of coriander leaves and keep the bowl closed.:- This is an onion free recipe.
