- Thoor Dal 1 cup -
- spinach 1 cup -
- Small onion 1 cup -
- Tomato : 1 no -
- Red chilli 2 no. -
- Green chilli 2 no. -
- Garlic 4 no. -
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp -
- Salt to taste -
- Gingerly oil 1 tsp -
- Oil : 3 tsp -
- Mustard : 1 tsp -
- cumin seed 1 tsp -
- Broken black gram 1 tsp -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -

Instructions
- clean the spinach and wash it
- boil the thoor dal by adding turmeric powder, salt, garlic, gingerly oil
- once thoor dal get 3/4 th boiled add spinach and allow to boil for 15 mins until the thoor dal get boiled
- in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken bangal gram, cumin seed.w
- add also temper the curry leaves, red chilli and green chilli and asafoetida
- add onion and saute it until it get brown
- add tomato and fry for 5 min
- now required salt and mix well and allow to fry for 10 mins
- now take the dal spinach smash it as displayed
- now paruppu keerai / dal spinach is ready to serve. serve with rice
