Erisseri Spicy Kerala curry 1 cup Red gram (Thuvaraparippu)250 gm Yellow pumpkin (Mathanaga)1/2 tsp Turmeric powderChilly powder (As reqd)1/2 of CoconutCumin seeds (A little, Jeerakam)1/2 tsp Mustard seedsCurry leaves (A few)2 - Dry red chilliesCoconut oil (As reqd)Salt (As reqd) Pressure cook red gram and yellow pumpkin together with turmeric powder and chilly powder.Blend coconut and jeera and add this to the pressure cooked yellow pumpkin and parippu and mix well.Cook on low flame for a while.Add salt as required.Next, season with mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies.Pour some coconut oil on top and cover it with a lid so as not to lose the flavour.
