Fish Molly (Kozhikode-Malabar) Traditional Fish Dish can be done with Promphet,Chanad or Karimeen Fish(Karimeen/Pomphret/Chanad)5 nos Green chillies1 no Onion1 no Tomato1/2 tsp Ginger paste1/2 tsp Garlic pasteCurry leaves (A few)2 tsp Tamarind paste (Puli)1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder2 tsp Coriander powder1 tsp Turmeric powder2 tsp Pepper powderSalt (As reqd)3 tsp Cocunut oil Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Add green chilly paste followed by grated onion, tomato, ginger paste, garlic paste, curry leaves, tamarind paste, chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and pepper powder.Saute well till onion and tomato blends well.Add salt and mix well.Add 1 1/2 cups of boiled water and allow it to boil.Allow it to boil for 2 - 3 mins.Add fish and cook for 5 mins.Top it with 1 tsp of coconut oil. Very Nice and delicious… Only one thing to point out…there is no fish named `promphet`(mistake?). Actually it is “Pomphret” also called “Silver Pomphret”.Thanks.
