Garlic Rasam
Rasam with garlic in it
Ingredients
- 20 nos Garlic cloves
- 1 cup Steamed Red gram Thuvaraparippu
- 6 tsp Grated coconut
- 1 tsp Gram dal
- 1 tsp Red gram Thuvaraparippu
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 6 nos Red chillies Kollamulaku
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 Tomatoes small
- 1 lime Tamarind
- 3 tsp Ghee
- 2 stems Curry leaves
- 2 - Coriander leaves
Instructions
- Cook red gram and keep it aside.
- Add grated coconut and grind.
- Add the remaining cloves to the boiling mixture.
- Next, add the steamed red gram and the ground paste and cook for a little while.
- Add water such that the total quantity comes to around 8 cups.
- Add curry leaves and fresh coriander leaves.
- Crackle mustard seeds in ghee and add it to the rasam.
