A slightly sweet roti

Ingredients

For the dough:

cups
Allpurpose flour
Maida
Salt
As reqd
4
tbsp
Water
Oil
(hot)
For the filling:
1/2
a
Grated
coconut
2
tsp
Coriander powder
2
tsp
Cumin powder
Jeerakam
1/2
tsp
Chilly powder
Jaggery
Size of a lemon, Sharkkara
1
tbsp
Semolina
roasted
Rava
Coriander leaves(chopped)
Salt
As reqd
For the seasoning:
1
tbsp
Oil
1
tsp
Mustard seeds
3-4
nos
Green chillies
6-7
nos
Curry leaves
Oil
for frying
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl.
Heat a little
oil
in a pan.
Add
mustard seeds
and when they splutter, add finely cut
green chillies
,
curry leaves
.
Add this seasoning to the filling and mix well.
Prepare a smooth dough of maida with
water
,
salt
and
oil
. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Make small balls off the dough and roll them into small pooris.
Keep one tbsp of the filling in the centre of each poori and fold them.
Roll gently again.
Fry them in
oil
.
