Ingredients
- Kadala/Bengal gram/Black channa(A handful) - 100 gm
- Yam and raw banana(chopped into small cubes) - 1 cup
- Pepper(crushed) - 1 tsp
- Jaggery(grated) - 1 tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- To be ground to a paste: -
- Grated Coconut - 3/4 cup
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
- For the tadka/seasoning: -
- Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup

Instructions
- Soak the kadala/channa overnight and cook in a pressure cooker till done.
- Let it boil.
- Add the ground paste and stir well.
- Simmer.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Splutter mustard seeds and saute curry leaves and coconut.
- When the coconut turns golden brown colour, add it to the simmering curry and give a final stir.
- Drizzle with some more coconut oil.
- :- Serve hot!!
