As reqd

Pepper powder

Green chillies

Tamarind
water

tbsp
Rasam powder
4
cloves
Garlic
Coriander leaves
Few
Salt
As reqd
For tempering:
1
tbsp
Oil
1/4
tsp
Mustard seeds
Curry Leaves
Few
4
cloves
Garlic
1/4
tsp
Fenugreek seeds
Uluva

nos
Shallots
2
nos
Red Chillies
whole
1/4
tsp
Asafoetida(optional)
kayam
Instructions
Boil tomatoes in
water
and remove the skin. Crush the tomatoes.
Heat the tomatoes with crushed
garlic
,
green chillies
, coriander leaves and
pepper powder
for 1 minute.
Add
tamarind
water
and rasam powder and boil the mixture again.
Add
salt
as per choice(add bit
sugar
for better taste).
Heat a pan and splutter
mustard seeds
, fenugreek,
curry leaves
,
garlic
,
red chillies
, small
onion
and asafoetida. Add the mixture to the rasam.
