Kuthiraivali(Bran Yard Millet) Panniyaram

Kuthiraivali Paniyaram is a very healthy and tasty south indian dish ,commonly done in villages .this millet is good in improving iron content in our body. This is a tasty and healthy paniyaram prepared with kuthiravali (Barnyard Millet). This dish tastes good with all kinds of chutney.

Ingredients
  

  • bran yard millet 1 cup
  • urad dal 1/4 cup
  • onions chopped 1 1/2 cup
  • grated carrots 1 cup
  • curry leafs few
  • mustard seeds 1 sp,
  • channa dal 1 sp
  • urad dal 1 sp
  • salt to taste
  • oil to cook

Instructions
 

  • soak the millets and urad dal over night
  • grind it to a batter
  • allow it to ferment for 5 hours
  • in a pan saute mustard ,channa dal, urad dal and onions
  • to it add curry leaves, grated carrots and salt
  • add this mixture to the batter
  • cook it in panniyaram maker cook both the sides until crisp
