During winter we often make roti, parantha with maize but idli made with it also comes out yummy

  • Maize 2 cup
  • idly rice 1cup
  • Urad dal 1 cup
  • Salt to taste


  • Soak Rice and Maize in water for 4 hours
  • add soaked urad dal and grind it as idly batter and allow to get ferment
  • now add salt, mix well and prepare idly in idly steamer
  • now maize idly got ready, serve with coconut chutney
