- temper the mustard, broken urad dal, cumin seed
- add onion and green chili and saute it for 3 mins
- add tomato and mix well and allow to cook for 3 mins
- transfer to the boiled dal
- add salt and red chili powder and allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame
- garnish with coriander leaves, now masala masoor dal is ready to serve
