- Fish(cubed) - 500 g
- Onion(chopped) - 1 no
- Tomato(chopped) - 1 no
- Small onion/Shallots(Kunjulli) - 4 nos
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Fish masala - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder(A pinch) -
- Ginger(grated) - 1/2 tsp
- Cocum star(Kudam puli) - 3 nos
- Curry leaves - 2 springs
- Oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing meen thakkali curry, heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add onion, curry leaves and ginger. Saute till the onion turns light brown in color.
- Then add chilly powder, fish masala, turmeric powder and salt. Saute until the oil starts to separate.
- Toss in the fish pieces and fry it lightly.
- Put in the tomato and curry leaves.
- Meen thakkali curry is ready. Serve hot with rice.
