- Spinach - 1 cup
- Mulappicha payar - 1 cup
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1
- Green chilly - 2
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp

Instructions
- Heat oil in a kadai add mustard.When it splutters add red chilly.Saute for a minute.
- Add chopped and washed cheera to this and saute for 2 minutes.
- Grind coconut,cumin seeds.onion ,turmeric powder and chilli powder in a mixer.
- Add this ground mix to cheera mix and saute for 3 minutes.
- Add salt and mix all together and cook for 4 minutes until cheera is fully cooked.
- Now Mulappicha payar cheera thoran is ready
