Okra Fry Easy

Okra is a cherished vegetable in our home.It is a heathy recipe also.This is good side dish for chapathi and rice.y

  • 1 cup Okra
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 2 Red chilly
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 5 Curry leaf
  • 4 Green chilly
  • 1 spoon Lemon juice


  • Wash and dry cut okra into pieces.
  • Heat oil in a kadai add mustard.When mustard splutters add onion,green chilly ,red chilly,salt and chopped okra, Saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add red chilly and curry leaves saute for 2 minutes on medium heat for 3 -4 minutes.Add lemon juice to this and saute for 2 minutes again.Let it cook for 3-4 minutes stir in between so that they dont burn.
  • Reduce flame and cook till okra turns soft.This could take about 15-20 small roasting.When it is cooked turn off flame.
  • Now okra or bheendi fry is ready to serve with chapatti and rice.
