- Asafoetida(Kaayam) - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut(grated) - 3 tbsp
- Tamarind(Lemon sized) -
- Dry red chillies - 3 nos
- Coriander leaves(Few) -

Instructions
- For preparing parippu urundai kuzhambu, soak dal in water for 40 minutes.
- Grind with asafoetida and chillies.
- Batter should be semi solid.
- Soak tamarind and make the juice.
- Boil the tamarind solution in kadai.
- Make balls out of batter and cook in tamarind juice.
- When done, remove from juice and serve with rice.
- Parippu urundai kuzhambu is ready.
