Pathiri By Using Cooked Rice

In our home daily have so many wastage of cooked rice. With this recipe you can avoid the wastage of boiled rice by it is used to make the pathiri.

  • 2 cup Cooked rice
  • 1 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • Water as required
  • Salt as required


  • Take a mixer grinder and add cooked rice.
  • Add very little water only if required and make it a smooth paste.
  • In a mixing bowl add ground rice paste then add salt, rice flour little by little and make a soft dough,knead it well with your hands.
  • Make small balls from the kneaded dough
  • roll the balls(using rice flour) to get thin round shape.You can use chappati press to roll the pathiri. (refer my nice pathiri post). Heat a pan(pathiri tawa) on medium flame and cook pathiri both sides until it is puffs and done.
  • Delicious pathiri is ready!serve with veg or non veg curry. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
