- Bitter Gourd / pavakkai 200g -
- Onion : 1 no -
- Tomato : 1 no -
- red chili powder 1/2 tsp -
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp -
- Salt to taste -
- oil 5 tsp -
- Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
- broken urad dal 1/4 tsp -
- curry leaves 8 leaves -
- tamarind water 5 tsp -

Instructions
- chop the bitter gourd
- in a kadai heat the oil and temper the mustard and broken urad dal
- add curry leaves and onion and saute it until the onion turn into brown
- add chopped bitter gourd and mix it and allow to cook for 5 minutes in medium flame
- add chopped tomato and mix well
- now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and tamarind water and mix well
- allow to cook until the bitter gourd get cooked
- now bitter gourd stir fry is ready. serve with rice
