  • 2 tbsp Peanuts roasted and ground
  • 2 tsp Almonds roasted and ground
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup Cucumber chopped
  • 1 no Green chilly chopped
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Mustard seeds A pinch
  • Cumin seeds A pinch, Jeerakam
  • 1 no Dry red chilly broken
  • Urad dal A pinch, Uzhunnu parippu
  • Asafoetida A pinch, Kayam
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing peanut yogurt raita, blend together yogurt, roasted peanut powder and roasted almond powder. Add turmeric, cucumber and salt. Mix well and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add urad dal, cumin, red chilly and curry leaves.
  • Now add chopped onion, green chilly, tomato and sautT well. Add chopped coriander and remove the pan from the fire.
  • Pour the tempering into the peanut yogurt mixture.
  • Peanut yogurt raita, a tasty dip with idly, dosa etc is ready.
