- Basmati rice - 1/2 kg
- Onion - 2 nos
- Mint leaves(An handful) -
- Coriander leaves(An handful) -
- Ginger(Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp) -
- Green chillies(finely chopped) - 3 nos
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Water -

Instructions
- Wash and soak the basmati rice for 5 minutes.
- Heat some oil in a vessel.
- Add chopped onion and saute till it turns very soft.
- Add the rice and continue to fry.
- Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, chopped green chillies and salt.
- :- We can also add green peas, carrot and any other vegetables as required.
- Cook till the water gets fully absorbed.
- Transfer the contents to a serving plate or bowl.
- :- Serve hot with Stuffed brinjal or Raita.
