Instructions Boil water with butter and salt. When the water starts boiling, simmer the flame and add maida flour and stir with a laddle or wooden stick for 30 seconds min. :- It forms hard round dough by absorbing the water. Turn off the flame. Knead it well and make small balls off it. Roll them into chappathis and cook them on a tawa. But chappathis are chappathis when made with Wheat flour. So please submit some better recipes. Reply fathima April 1, 2008 - 12:00 am i wasted a lot of flour by preparing this.plz dont try this Reply Candida Paiva May 22, 2008 - 12:00 am I tried this and it was a disaster. Waste of chappati flour. I followed instructions but when done felt that the flour was semi cooked in the water. Was hard and not folding together to knead it. Spent more time cooking again the traditional way! Reply Candida Paiva May 22, 2008 - 12:00 am After my last comment, I re tried therecipe..Yes Yes I did. I thought there`s quite a number of ppl who liked it so maybe I did it wrong. I had done it wrong. Kept it too long on the stove. This time I took it off in a few secs. Kneaded it and kept it aside fr a while. Came out really soft. One problem though…was very difficult for me to roll it. My husband had to roll them for me. Was too tough.
