Spicy Veg Pakoda

  • 1 no Onion medium
  • 4 nos Bajji mulaku
  • 2 nos Capsicum
  • 1 no Potato
  • Cauliflower A small piece
  • 2 cups Gram flour Besan/Kadalamavu
  • 2 cups Refined oil
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder Kayam
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd


  • Mix together gram flour, asafoetida powder, chilly powder and salt along with water to make a not so thick batter.
  • Cut onion, capsicum and potato into thin round shapes and bajji mulaku and cauliflower into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • When it starts to boil, dip the vegetables in the batter and put it into the oil. (take each piece of vegetable and fry seperate seperate, i think, no need more explanations)
  • Fry well.
  • When done, take them out and place them on an absorbent paper.
  • :- Serve with tomato sauce.

    recipe is not clear,please explain how to put those vegetables, together or seperately…
