  • Urad Dal 1/2 kg
  • sugar 1 cup
  • maida 2 tsp
  • corn flour 2 tsp
  • rice flour 2 tsp
  • oil to fry


  • soak the urad dal in water and grind it by adding sugar
  • make as a thick batter, dont add water while grinding it , if needed just spray the water
  • in bowl add urad dal batter, maida, corn flour and rice flour and mix well
  • heat the oil in the pan and fry the urad dal batter in vada shape
  • filter the oil by pressing both the side of vada with two spatula
  • ullandhu vada is ready to serve
