- Coconut(grated) - 1 cup
- Red chillies - 4 nos
- Tomato - 2 nos
- Shallots(Kunjulli) - 4 nos
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 pinch
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp

Instructions
- For preparing thakkali thogayal, fry grated coconut, red chillies and shallots in coconut oil till it becomes brownish.
- Add tomato and fry again. Grind them all.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Please note: Thokayal has to be always in a thick, semisolid form. Can be used as side dish.
