Tomato Surprise is an innovative, tasty snack very nutritious and appealing to behold. What makes the dish unique and interesting, is the style of preparation. Dry Masala Chole stuffed in the tomato and packing the tomato with mashed potato is a variant from usual ones. The packed Tomato Surprise is later coated with maida mixture and rolled out in bread crumbs before deep frying to a golden brown color. Ingredients
  

  • 8 nos Tomato big
  • 1 cup *Masala Chole dry
  • 250 g Potato
  • Oil For deep frying
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour For coating, Maida
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1 pkt Aloo bhujia For decoration
  • * You can either prepare or use the left over Masala Chhole.

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Tomato Surprise, first mash the boiled potatoes. Add little salt to mashed potato and mix well. Keep potato aside.
  • Next, hollow the tomatoes with the help of a pointed knife.
  • Stuff dry masala chole in one tomato.
  • Put back the tomato lid.
  • Cover or pack the tomato completely with mashed potato.
  • Make a liquid paste of maida.
  • Dip these stuffed tomatoes in the maida paste and cover it with breadcrumbs.
  • Deep-fry Tomato Surprise in hot boiling oil to a golden brown color.
  • While serving, slice the tomatoes vertically through the center.
  • Arrange Tomato Surprises in a plate and garnish with aloo bhujia.
  • :- Serve Tomato Surprise with green coriander chutney and tomato sauce.

    It too oilly. The sequence of preparations at serial number 3 and 4 are to be excahnged. You cannot close the lid of tomato and then fill it up with meshed potato.
