Ingredients
- Kadala(Black channa) - 1 Nazhi
- Onion(big) - 1 no
- Shallots(Kunjulli) - 7 nos
- Garlic pods(chopped) - 5 nos
- Red chillies - 8 nos
- Coconut kotthu(finely sliced into small pieces) - 1/2 of
- Red chilly powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 3 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds(avoid adding too much mustards as its not good for eye sight) - 1/2 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 3 big
- Coconut oil - 3 tbsp
- Water(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- soak channa(kadala for 12 hours) -

Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil in a pressure cooker.
- Add onion, dry red chillies cut into two pieces, garlic, coconut kotthu, kadala( channa)and about 4 glasses or more water.
- Cook upto 12 whistles.
- Add coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt and cook for 5 mins on a medium flame.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add 2 tbsp of coconut kotthu and shallots and saute it till it becomes slight golden brown.
- Add 3 stems of curry leaves and add this to the kadala curry.
