Ingredients
- Raw banana(Vaazghakkai/Pachhakkaya) - 2 –
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tspn
- Sambar powder - 1 tspn
- Mustard seeds - 1 tspn
- Bengalgram powder(KadalaMaavu) - 2 tspns
- Blackgram Dhal(Uzhunnumparippu) - 1 tspn
- Red chilli powder - ½ tspn
- Salt(To taste) -
- Coconut/Refined Oil(As required) -

Instructions
- Cut the raw bananas in round shape
- Cut the peeled and washed raw bananas in round shape
- Add Turmeric Powder into the raw banana pieces
- Also add the Sambar powder, Red Chilli Powder and salt and mix it well
- Heat Oil in a frying pan
- Add Mustard seeds and allow to burst them
- Add Blackgram dhal
- When the colour of the Blackgram dhal turns into golden, put the masala coated raw banana pieces into the frying pan and also add the Bengalgram powder
- Stir the mix well for about 2-3 minutes and cover the frying pan with a plate and allow to cook the mix well
- VaazhakkaiVaruval (Raw banana fry) is ready and it can be served with Poori/Chappathi/cooked rice etc.
