- Rrd cow peas - 2 cup
- Finger millet/ragi - 1 cup
- Jaggery - 300 g
- Coconut(grated) - 2 cup

- Wash the red beans and the cook it in the pressure cooker by adding a pinch of salt.
- Grind coconut,ragi and ,keep a fine mesh stainer over a large bowl .
- Add cooked vanpayar and mix well.
- Keep a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl and pour melted jaggery through it.
- Cook another 3-4 minutes .when it boil,turn off the stove and keep it aside .
- Vanpayar paayasam is ready to serve.
