Ingredients
- Matthi / Sardine : 500 gm(clean it well and wash 2(clean it well and wash 2) - 3 times)
- Oinion : 1 no(Make a paste onion grinding with salt and keep it aside) -
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp -
- Pepper powder : 3 tsp -
- Red chilli powder : 1 tsp -
- Salt : as reqd -
- Coconut / Refined oil : as reqd ( to fry the Matthi) -

Instructions
- To avoid sticking of sardine in the pan while frying, add some lemon juice into the mix .
- Add red chilli powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder with the sardine pieces, mix it well and keep it aside for some time.

- Heat some oil in a frying pan and put the sardine pieces in it and fry both sides.

- Varutha Matthi is ready and can be served with cooked rice.
