MEDICINAL VALUE :
Oil is extracted from its seeds to be used as a medicine. In ghana its seeds are taken as a purgative.
NUTRIENT VALUE :
good source of calcium, proteins, phosphorous, fiber etc.
CULINERY AND OTHER VALUES :
Seeds are roasted and consumed. The gum karaya extracted from this plant is used as an emulsifier and thickener in foods. Edible oils are extracted from its seeds.
