  • 1kg Chicken boneless prefered
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 1/2 nos Onion sliced vertically
  • 6-7 nos Garlic pods
  • 1/2 of Bay leaves break into small pieces
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick break into small pieces
  • 2-3 nos Karambu
  • Turmeric powder little
  • 2 tsp Chilli powder as per your spicy
  • 3 tsp Coriander powder
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • Coriander leaves for decoration
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 3 tsp Lime juice


  • Wash and cut chicken into medium pieces.
  • Grind garlic pods in mixer.
  • In cooker, add chicken, little turmeric,salt, pepper, garlic (mashed), little water (11/2 small glass) and allow it for 4 whistles.
  • Take kadai, add oil, add bay leaves, cinnamon, krambu and fry for a minute.
  • Add green chillies and fry for a minute.
  • Add onions and fry till golden brownish.
  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and fry till it gets little thicker.
  • If it sticks to the bottom of kadai, add the left water which is in cooker and fry it till the powder smell goes off.
  • Add chicken along with water into the masala.
  • Keep stirring if it sticks to the pan and add little water if required.
  • Add coriander leaves at the end and squeeze little lime.
