- Toovar dal - 1 cup
- Onion - 1
- Tomato - 1
- Green chilly - 2
- Dry red chilly - 2
- garlic - 1 clove
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt(to taste) -
- Curry leaves(little) -
- Water - 2 cup

- Take all the ingredients and keep it ready.
- Pressure cook dal for 8 whistles on a medium flame till they are cooked.
- Add cooked dal,turmeric powder,chilly powder,curry leaves and salt.
- Mix well and cook it again for 2 minutes.
- Dal fry is ready to serve
