Ingredients
- Lentils(Moong dal) - 100 gm
- Potato(cut into 8 pieces, medium) - 1 no
- Brinjal(medium size & cut into pieces, Vazhuthananga) - 1 no
- Squash(cut into pieces) - 50 gm
- Taro root(peeled and cut into half) - 4 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
- Ginger(chopped) - 1" piece
- Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2-3 nos
- Ghee - 1 -
For seasoning:
- Cumin seeds(A pinch, jeerakam) -
- Red chilly powder(A pinch) -

Instructions
- Boil the dal with salt and turmeric powder in a vessel for 10 minutes.
- Add potato, taro root and squash to it and allow it to boil for 10 minutes. Keep the vessel covered.
- Add brinjal and boil it for 5 more minutes, till everything is cooked.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds, chopped ginger and red chillies.
- When the cumin seeds splutter, add dal.
- Add the cooked vegetables into it and mix well.
- Add cumin seeds and red chilly powder fried in ghee.
- :- It smells not only terrific but is tasty, easy to prepare and healthy to eat.
