Instructions
- Beat the eggs using a hand held electric mixer in a large bowl.
- :- Use glass bowl for more soft cake.
- Mix together maida, baking powder and salt.
- Add this little by little to the bowl and mix at a medium speed for at least 15 mins.
- Add essence, lemon juice and cardamom and mix for 1 more min.
- Take 1/3 of the batter into a separate bowl and add cocoa powder to the batter and mix with a spoon.
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F (180 degree Celsius).
- Pour 5 - 6 spoons of the plain batter into a greased baking tray as a layer.
- Add the 3 - 4 spoons of batter mixed with cocoa powder on the sides and on the top of the layer.
- Pour the remaining plain batter to the tray.
- On the top add the rest of the batter mixed with cocoa powder.
- Move a fork in zig-zag way on the top of the batter.
- Bake in oven for 40 - 45 mins(or till light brown) at 350 degree F(180 degree Celsius).
- Prick with a sharp knife and it should come out clean, if done.
- Cut the marble cake with a sharp knife and serve.
