Fried fish cooked in tomato puree

Ingredients
- Fish(washed and drained) - 500 g
- Pepper powder(A little) -
- Tomato pieces - 1/2 cup
- Soya bean sauce - 1/2 dsp
- Onion(cut round) - 1/2 cup
- Onion(finely sliced) - 1/4 cup
- Ginger(A small piece) -
- garlic - 3 cloves
- Dry red chillies(seeds removed) - 4 nos
- Turmeric powder(A pinch) -
- Sugar(A pinch) -
- Vinegar - 1 dsp
- Oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing fish in tomato sauce, first smear the fish pieces with a paste of pepper powder, turmeric and salt. Keep aside for a few minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish pieces to a golden brown color.
- Grind the skins of red chillies, ginger, garlic and turmeric to a fine paste. Keep the masala paste aside.
- Allow the curry to boil and add the fried fish pieces. Season with sugar and remove from fire when the gravy thickens.
- Fish in tomato sauce is ready. Serve hot.
