  • 250 g Ladies finger
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder Kayam
  • 2 tbsp Gram flour Kadala mavu
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing fried ladies finger, first wash the ladies finger and cut it length wise.
  • Marinate ladies finger with salt, chilly powder and asafoetida powder. Keep it aside for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the gram flour on top of it and shake it well.
  • Deep fry it in oil.
  • Fried ladies finger, a tasty side dish is ready.
