Ghee Rice Restaurant Style
An easy recipe for
ghee
rice

Basmati rice
2
tsp
Ghee
1

Onion
1/2
of
Carrot
Salt
As reqd

Cardamom
2
-
Cinnamon
2
-
Cloves
6
cups
Water
Fried onions,
raisins
and cashew nuts for garnishing
Coriander leaves
Instructions
Soak rice in
water
for 30 minutes. Drain and keep it aside.
In a deep pan, heat
ghee
.
Add the whole spices and saute for a few seconds.
Add chopped
onion
and
carrot
and saute for some time.
Add 6 cups of
water
.
When the
water
boils, add rice and
salt
.
Cover and cook till the
water
is fully absorbed and the rice is cooked.
Transfer the contents to a serving platter.
Garnish with fried onions,
raisins
, cashew nuts and coriander leaves.
