Goat Head Curry

A

Goat Head Curry is one of the most delicious curry dishes that can be prepared with a Goat Head. I had some hesitation in the beginning but when I tasted it was delicious. Other than brain you could use all the head pieces that include eyes, tongue, ear and so on. The curry dish goes out well with rice, porotta etc. I have tried out my own version of Goat Head Curry without addition of coconut. It was delicious and aromatic. Regarding cooking of Goat’s Head, it’s almost similar to other meat dishes. Care should be taken while cutting and cleaning of Goat’s Head. The cooking of goat head is similar to the cooking of other meat items. Remove the skin on the head of the goat carefully. Check for small hairs on skin by washing well in water. There are regions in India where Goat Head Curry is served for marriages and other occasions.

Among all the other parts of lamb, I feel that lamb’s meat is the most preferred one. I prepare the dish whenever I get the lamb head. Now let us ponder a while, is Goat Head Curry good for man? The answer is definitely yes. Rich in vital nutrients required for man, the meat is a good source of protein, Vitamin B 12, phosphorus, iron, selenium and copper. There are some negatives as well. It contains a good mount of risky components like saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. We at home savor Goat Head Curry in moderation and there is nothing to worry about the risk factors involved. I separate the bones for my kid who is quite fussy with bones. You can explore a well detailed Goat Head Curry here that can be easily prepared at home. Have a great day.
