Ingredients
- Allpurpose flour(Maida) - 1 1/2 cups
- Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
- Eggs - 5 nos
- Butter - 100 gm
- Baking powder - 1 1/4 tsp
- Milk - 1/4 glass
- Vanilla Essence - 2 -
- Cashews(As reqd) -
- Raisins(As reqd, Onakkamunthiri) -

Instructions
- Grind sugar to a fine powder and mix well with the flour.
- Add Baking powder and mix well.
- Separate yellow and white portions of the egg and beat it well.
- Add milk to the white portion.
- Melt the butter and mix with the flour mix.
- Add white part of the egg first and then the yellow part into the above mix.
- Mix the batter really well.
- Grease the baking tray with some butter and to this sprinkle some plain flour and then add the mix.
- Add cashews and raisins into the mix.
- :- Don`t fill the tray to the brim. Fill it to its half the capacity.
- Keep the batter in the oven at 100 degree celsuis for about 30-45 mins.

I always wanted to make a cake from the scratch n was looking for a simple recipe. This was the one. I found all the ingredients in my pantry n gave it a try. It was good. I used only two eggs n set a different oven temperature. Now I make a few varieties of healthy cake n this is my base recipe. Thanks Sreedevi. Good job.
