Home Made Tandoori Chicken

Tandoori chicken is a traditional Indian recipe.It is very easy to make this tandoori chicken without oven.It is with yogurt and spices.Because of this yogurt chicken makes so moist and home made tandoori masala makes this dish spicy and flavorful.Tandoori chicken is good to eat with chapathi ,porotta,rumali roli and nan.

  • 1k g Chicken pieces washed and cleaned
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Chili powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 2 tsp Gram masala
  • 2 tsp Kasturi methi
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Oil


  • Wash and clean chicken pieces and add this in a vessel.Add lemon juice,chilli powder and salt to this and mix well.Keep this in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  • In a big bowl add curd,coriander powder and gram masala.
  • Add kastoori methi,chili powder ,salt and ginger garlic paste mix well.
  • Mix till all the spices are well blended.
  • Take chicken from refrigerator and this to marinade.Rub the marinade all over the chicken and coat well.Keep it for 1/2 hour.
  • After 1/2 hour heat oil in a kadai add this marinated chicken pieces to kadai.
  • Close the kadai with a lid and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Aftere 10 minutes chicken will become becomes dried and cooked.
  • Turn other side andCook for 10 more minutes in low flame.
  • Now tandoori chicken is ready to serve with chapathis and porottas.
