Ingredients
- Kadala(Black Channa) - 1/2 cup
- Coconut - 1/2 of
- Onion - 1 no
- Coriander powder - 1 spoon
- Chilli powder - 1 spoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 spoon
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/2 spoon
- Curry leaves(As reqd) -
- Coconut oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Soak kadala in water for atleast 8 hrs and pressure cook it.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds, onion and finally coconut and fry well till it turns brown.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder to it and mix well.
- Allow it to cool and grind it.
- Add the ground paste to kadala and cook it.
- Add required salt to taste.
- In a pan, saute chopped onion and curry leaves in coconut oil and add to kadala.
