Kerala Style Prawn Fry | Konju Fry

Kerala Style Prawn Fry with the outstanding flavor of pepper is a yummy and delightful dish with hot rice, ghee rice, pulao or chappati. Prawns are marinated with a spicy masala mixture and kept aside for an hour. I love prawns or konju among all sea food delicacies. Kerala Style Prawn Fry is distinguished from its delightful flavor and aroma filling the rooms. Whenever I enter a restaurant, I check out whether my favorite dish is on menu. Then there is no looking back. I observe my kids and dear hubby too falling for the dish. And that’s how I collected the recipe from the chef. My trial with Konju Fry has been a grand success at home. And now we enjoy the Konju Fry right at home. No journeying up and down. After all hotels and restaurants charge an exorbitant price for prawn dishes. Try the dish and do let me know the feedback. And don’t forget to smear some fresh lime over the fried prawns. That does the trick.

Kerala Style Prawn Fry is a lip smacking variety dish drenched in spices. Kerala, a land of rivers and coastal areas, is quite famous for its bounty of prawns. You will find prawn dishes quite popular in hotels and restaurants located along the coastal regions. And Konju Fry is the one and only dish that has captured my heart. Kerala is such a blessed land and nowhere in India can I find such a fresh catch of crabs, prawns, shell fish and a lot many local fishes from the backwaters and rivers. Keralites have mastered the art of cooking seafood dishes with the right combinations of spices. Kerala Style Prawn Fry is one such dish with balanced spices that are just right.
