  • Soak both rice and dal for 15 mins and keep aside
  • In pressure pan add oil and temper Mustard , jeera, fenugreek
  • Add shallots, garlic, curry leaves, dry chili and saute well
  • Now add tomato and salt and turmeric cook soft
  • Add rice and dal and add water 1: 3 and stir it
  • Add coconut and mix it well and close lid and pressure it.
  • After 3 whistles open mix well and serve
  • Now its ready kongu Arisiyum Paruppum
