  • In an earthen pot or Mansatti, add coriander seeds, dry red chili, jeera, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and dry coconut. Roast till aroma comes and turn off and allow to cool.
  • Now grind the roasted masala.
  • In a Mansatti, add oil and saute onions and curry leaves
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and turmeric and little salt
  • Now add the chicken pieces and saute well for 5 mins
  • Now add the previously roasted ground masala, mix well cook with close lid for 10 mins.
  • Now if you want to add little water you can sprinkle little water and cook for a few mins.
  • Now the thick Mansatti Chicken Varuval is ready to serve with hot rice
