  • mint 1/2 cup -
  • urad dal 2 tsp -
  • bengal gram 2 tsp -
  • coriander seed 1 tsp -
  • cumin seed 1/2 tsp -
  • Small onion 1 cup -
  • Garlic 5 no. -
  • Ginger : 1 small piece -
  • Red chili 4 no. -
  • Green chili 3 no. -
  • Tomato : 1 no -
  • tamarind as required -
  • grated coconut 1/4 cup -
  • Salt to taste -
  • Oil : 3 tsp -
  • Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
  • curry leaves 6 no. -

Instructions
  1. in a pan heat the oil and fry the cumin seed and coriander seed

  2. add urad dal and bengal gram and roast it

  3. now add coriander and mint leaves and fry it

  4. in another pan heat the oil and fry the onion, ginger and garlic for 5 minutes

  5. add red chili and green chili and mix it

  6. add tomato, salt and tamarind and mix well and allow to fry for 3 minutes

  7. now add grated coconut and mix well, switch off the flame and allow to cool

  8. add everything in jar and grind it

  9. heat the oil and temper the mustard and curry leaves and transfer into the chutney. now coriander and mint chutney is ready. serve with rice
