2 cups Wheat flour1 1/2 cup Coconut (grated)1 1/2 cup Jaggery (grated)1/2 tsp Cardamom powderSalt (As reqd)Water (As reqd)Oil (As reqd)Modak dye(optional) Knead a dough out of the wheat flour adding required salt and water.Mix together coconut, jaggery and cardamom. Keep this aside. Make small balls out of the dough and using your finger on the palm roll into medium thin puri.Fill with the mixture. Close it in upward direction just like a bunch of garlic in shape. Steam it for 20 mins. Modak is ready. Serve hot. Kerala
